The history of the rosary

The Rosary is a form of prayer that has been used by Catholics for centuries. It consists of a set of prayers and meditations that are said while holding a string of beads, also known as a rosary. The term "Rosary" itself comes from the Latin word "rosarium," meaning "rose garden." It is said to symbolize offering a spiritual bouquet of roses to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The history of the Rosary dates back to the early days of Christianity, but it wasn't until the Middle Ages that the Rosary as we know it today began to take shape.
